Energy is one of the most important topics in High Performance coaching and mastering your physiology is critical in the field of healthcare. This is meaningful to me because heightened levels of energy improves my mental focus, de-stresses me and gives me a heightened sense of vibrancy which enables me to fully engage in my work, have a deeper connection in my relationships and to live a fulfilled life with enthusiasm, joy and passion.
In Healthcare it is particularly important to have sound nutrition and a high level of fitness to meet the demands of your work, which is not only physically demanding but psychologically and emotionally demanding.
As health professionals you know how stressful your work can be due to the complexities of running departments/units, managing patient care, and the complications that may come up in surgery. When standing for long periods of time, lifting and moving patients takes a toll on your body.
